do you think the chipset fan will interfere with my zalman hs on my 7800gtx. thats the only thing keeping me from placing my order on newegg. i want to stick with amd. im gonna get a brisbane 4800 and some new g skill ram and keep everything else in my sig. also when i replace the mobo/cpu/ram can i just boot right up without having to reload xp?

honestly cant say, but a 8800gts with stock cooling clears fine. Which zalman cooling are you using?

dunno about the fan interference, but in all likely-hood you will have to re-install windows when you switch you're mb. if it was just a cpu/ram swap that would be fine, but motherboards have all sorts of drivers and crap that might confuse windows. sometimes if its a mb in the same family.....its might kinda sorta work, but IMO its always best to do a fresh install with such a hardware change.
