i seem to have problems with my recording on the mobo....recording on a microphone is VERY soft. i dont konw why this is...i have the latest driveers. Advanced options in microphone settings dont have mic boost just Stero Mic. its not the mic either....tried many

well....thats not good...lol well does anybody else have this problem...i noticed it when i played games that use microphone......just wnat to know if anybody else has this problemo

Do a check on the microphone itself...is it just games?

You can test your microphone via Control Panel-->sound audio devices

ITS just the recording aspect of the computer...everything that involves the microphone is soft. gaming, teamspeak, sound recorder,
 
yeah its very quiet, you have to enable microphone boost, but it results in quite a bit of distortion.

ya...problem is ...mic boost dont show up..instead of mic boost option it has "1 stereo mic"

I used the nvidia audio drivers.

1. Download them from nvidia
2. Use "have disk" and uncheck that show compatible devices thing, and just select nforce audio codec interface. Ignore all warnings and install anyways.
3. Then run the nvidia audio driver setup program

This does not fix the distortion, but I like the interface a lot more than the realtek/windows one.
