Just checking

Has anyone heard if Bioshock has had its sound issue fixed???

I would like to get back to playing it but the sound stuttering so much kills the game!!!

Not sure but I recently installed it on my laptop and the sound wouldn't work at all and then it crashed. Searching the official forums I found out that since I had Gom Player installed, Bioshock tried to launch a shared codec. Uninstalling Gom Player fixed it. Search the 2k forums for info on the stuttering to see.

Is this in Vista? I had this horrible sound distortion problem that would come in erratically during the game, and the only way to fix it was to quit and restart the game. That was a problem with my Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS I think... but I'm not sure if that's the same issue you're referring to here
