Which one should I pay attention to when maxing out my cpu specs?

Ive been having trouble OCing my Q6700. I've maxed it out to 1.5025 in the bios but i get a VDROP to 1.46V. I was just wondering if i can push it further without going out of its specs.

I guess a couple of questions here would be 1. how high are you wanting to put the voltage, 2. have you disable VDROP in your bios?

eh? theres an option for VDrop in the bios?

i was going to put the voltages high enough to compensate for Vdrop

Some boards have an option to reduce Vdroop (Load Line Calibration on the Maximus Formula, for example). As for Vdrop, I'm not aware of any settings.

DFI baby, you can turn it off, at least on the p35 i have you can, there is still a small fluctuation. as for your issue hazard_one, you should be fine doing that. Just slowly bring it up so you dont run into any heat issues.

After looking around, all i see for the IP35 is people doing a Vdrop mod, nothing about bios settings for ya bud, your best best would be to set it to like 1.52 to get 1.5 or so.
