Look hereLazy_Moron said:Thats what I thought. I know they have some "anti-overvoltage" mechnisim in the card so even if you do change it thru the BIOS it will change back. But just thought ill ask to see if anyone found any ways past it.
Are the bios different from card to card?t024484 said:
There are many versions around, but they are all upwards compatible.DarkStar02 said:Are the bios different from card to card?

So even with this new voltage edit, you still need to do some soldering to the video card, correct?revenant said:Oh wow.. I have been out of the loop for a while.. that's awesome.. I might be able to undo my vmod now and just run with a modded bios.. thx for the linkage. good things!
You can use any 7900GT board that has no extra hardware mounted like the EVGA SS.DemoMode said:The way i understand it is that you need to have the eVGA PCB rev tha has the voltage switching hardware installed ( as shown on the PCB ) if you have that lind of board then you can edit the volts via bios.. or maybe we can buy those resistors in local hardwares and solder it ourselves?
Buddy, you have no idea the can of worms you just opened...DemoMode said:Id still go with the conductive ink mod as that soldering mod is hard to clean when RMA'ing

I cannot agree more. This is no part of the game.wheels2040 said:Exactly, you do mods like that, you give up your right to RMA.
