What does the feature do? Store memory from the GPU in cache memory? The reason I ask is because I have an XP 3200+, and a Radeon 9700 Pro (128mb), and I think my video card is the bottleneck in my system for Doom3. I know it's a graphically intense game, so the fact that it runs should make me happy enough, but when people with similiar systems are getting 40+ fps on the settings I'd like to use (1280 x 1024 on medium or high), I begin to wonder...

I know you guys must be sick of all the Doom3 threads, I know I am. But if I have a better understanding of what this feature does, it will definitely help when I go to play some other games like Halflife 2. :)

It lets the gpu use a little of the cpu's level2 cache, it was usefull a long time ago when there was very little slow video memory. Today it doesnt affect anything noticable in a game, but it does rob memory that can be better used by the cpu.

In short, disable it =)
