BIOS upgrade for Brisbane core, dual core A64's?

Do the Brisbane core A64 dual cores require a BIOS upgrade on the motherboards in order to run?

Probably, but not necessarily. My old K8W complained about "unknown processors" when I went from single-core to dual-core, until I flashed the BIOS with a dual-core update. However, it still functioned without any problems when running on the old BIOS. You'll have to try it and see : )

By BIOS already supports the dual core, at least w/the Windsor core.

What would the Brisbane core offer over the Windsor, other than being more energy efficient?
