I occasionally get a little too confident when overclocking, and sometimes get myself into situation requiring a bios reset. I wired a momentary three lead switch to the bios pins in place of the jumper. The switch is mounted on the front of the case. No more pulling the case out and removing the panel just to reset! An easy time saver for over confident ocer's.

Nice; I saw someone else do this and was impressed also (maybe you were the someone?). Anyway, nice idea and excecution; I myself need the time it takes to open the case door to cool myself off.

I was gonna do the same thing... except im going to use a spdt toggle switch with a keylock safety, that way i dont have to hold the switch and boot to reset, and it doesnt get used accidentally by a tard trying to turn my comp on :p

nice idea. i could really use one of those. something to put on my long list of things to do. (rainy day type thing i guess)

That is a great bit of common sense.

Otherwise it would be like sticking the ejection seat button between the previous track and next track button on your car's CD player. You bound to screw up eventually with bad results.

The keylock safety switch is a good idea. I already had to warn my wife to never touch that switch. Wife. "You mean the the big shiny one?" . Me, "Yes dear, don't ever touch that." Wife, "Why not, it's pretty." Me, "Because the computer will explode and I will have to get a new one." Wife, "Oh. Ok."

I'm thinking of putting a big sticker that says "Self destruct" next to it.

i use a DPDT switch and the plug from an old school turbo switch...works great...been like this for the past 3 years
