Bios keeps forgetting? my SSD?

Morning all. So twice this week when i start up I get an error message saying that my boot drive is missing..I dont know exact phrase at this moment but you get the idea. When I go into the bios my Intel SSD is not listed. In fact under the boot tab "hard drives" is not a selection. I have to reboot a few time until that choice becomes available and then my drive is listed and I can choose the boot order.
So whats going on?...should I reinstall the bios?

Check your motherboard battery. If BIOS won't keep your settings that's the first thing I'd look at.
