I'm building a system for a guy who wants a biohazard themed comp. So far I'm leaning towards a standard case and maybe adding some fan grills and window etching because the only biohazard case I've come across is the Xoxide case and it looks too much like an Alienware case... I hate Alienware cases. Anyone have suggestions for a biohazar themed case?

I'm thinking start with a regular case maybe an antec mid tower. I think red and black would look good especially since the Biohazzard signs are in red and black. Could make the window the BH symbol really or even etched into a big window. Black exterior red interior with red cold cathodes. That would look cool.
 
you might also like the biohazard fan grills. but black would look good with the red, or orange or even yellow if you can even find yellow.
 
Hey so cal, you linked to a radiation symbol etch, just so you know. I would recommend getting this or something similar as a case, a good window applique like this , and adding a nice red pair of cold cathodes. . A shameless plug for frozencpu, but I've always been more than happy with their products.
 
Nothing against Chenming, especially since I've got two systems built with that style case (love the cooling possibilities, removeable drive cages, and optical drive rails!! :) ), but that price is fairly outrageous! :eek:

For similar case (either Chenming or Chieftec, which are pretty much clones of each other), check out Xoxide . Much nicer prices, and even when I had one case show up damaged, a single phone call got a replacement shipped out the next day. :D
 
I like the idea of a biohazard window, if it's not outside of your skills! I realize, it would be difficult, but that idea is just golden! The only bad thing I could think of about that window is that it really would not show that much of the insides of the case... so it could take some creative work to do the biohazard window and show off the case. I have a biohazard applique on my window, but come on, that's just so unoriginal!

And do Biohazard signs also appear in Yellow/Black? I know Radiation signs do but not sure about Biohazard.

Official medical biohazard logos are in red.
 
you could try air brushing the bio hazard symbol somewhere on the case, but when you do it try it make it look like it was done with a stencil and some spray paint. Maybe do it in red with hints of yellow to kinda show depth. I know its kinda hard to explain, but if you dont get the add yellow part just go with the cool looking stencil and spraypaint look. Ive wanted to try it forever. You could also make the case look old, maybe air brushing some rust on it.

also, i'd go with a simple case and hand mod it, but if your not willing to do that go for the case about 1 post above me and then work some of my suggestions onto that.
 
go with a Full Tower, then it will give it that chemical container look, then like yeaaboutmalmrose said, you could air brush or spraypaint(using a stencil you cut out) to put the biohazard symbol on it. good luck.
