Bigwater leaked

Well last night I smelled something burning and I opened my case to find my cpu block leaking onto my X1800XT I turned it off and dried everything off, but it also leaked onto a power connetor that connects to my DFI Ultra-D. Everything still worked, but I could not trust my 4 month old Antec TP2 480 as the connetor was badly burned and I didnt want to take the chance of frying anything else.
I went to FRYs and got a Enermax Noisetaker 600w and went to the stock cooler. The bigwater was very nice while it worked (5 months) but I dont know if i will buy thermaltake products in the future. I know watercooling is a risk, and I should have bought better stuff(no lectures please ) but it was on a whim and I thought It would get me by until I upgraded again.

It looks like tiny cracks in the block at the fittings.

That sucks man, sorry to hear it. Did you go and tighten down the fittings more than they already were or put on teflon tape (in excess)? Just kinda wondering.

wow - gald to hear you caught it before your 1800XT shorted out... or anything else... that would have been tragic. I sense a call to Thermatake's support center in your future.

Didnt do anything other than put it together. It worked flawless for 5 months.

This is a known issue with the Big Water blocks. Do a google and you'll see...
