Folding@Home Client Shutdown.

Did you shut it down manually? What else is happening when the client shuts down? Is the computer itself rebooting, or is it just the client?

I doubt it's a stability issue. The CoreStatus for when the client detects an instability is 7B. But if it really were unstable enough to cause spontaneous shutdowns of the client, then the PC would reboot or BSOD. Windows would not keep running.

would running something like realtemp cause a conflicked? or hfm.net

Could be a bad WU or something? Apparently those happen occasionally.

I'd start the VM and at the prompt, go outside of the VM (through Windows Explorer), go to the [share] FAH folder, delete the 'work' subfolder and queue.dat file and then go back into the VM, type in your ./fah6 -bigadv -smp 8 and let it download a new WU, see if it will keep going from there and not throw up that error code anymore.

would running something like realtemp cause a conflicked? or hfm.net
Doubt it. Especially not HFM. But you can try turn them off, see if it helps. It definitely won't hurt.

I get a LOT of those 'interrupted' errors on one of my -bigadv machines and still have not pinned down the culprit. If it weren't for those errors, my PPD would probably be 10-15k higher. In my case, I suspect the memory subsystem is causing issues. OC is too low on this system and it can't be clockspeed. I'd try to run your system at factory clocks just to eliminate that possibility, and then try other things like swapping modules with another system. Last time I changed memory modules, it reduced these errors by half. I'm going to change modules again to see if I can stop them altogether. I don't believe a third-party app is the problem if you're running from a VM.

Did you config it through a web browser?
I don't use the auto connect function in the browser. If you have that highlighted then go into vmware and use the ./fah6 -bigadv -smp 7 (or 8) you will get an error.

would running something like realtemp cause a conflicked? or hfm.net

No and no...

Been running all night. Windows activation was poping up?

...and no.

I always run HFM while running bigadv, even with Avast shields running in the background as well. (even on my dedicated 6gb boxen) From time to time I have Real Temp running also. Those apps aren't going to cause that error, I can assure you of that. I run those same apps, all at once, and I don't get that error.

Either you have a client issue or a stability issue. I know I'm asking the proverbial stupid questions here, but I might as well:
-Did you test your oc for stability? Did you test the bclk stability in Prime/LinX/IBT etc, then the ram stability in Memtest, then the final oc with bclk+multi at your current values in Prime/LinX/IBT etc. ? Follow me if you didn't already.

After doing those things, I've had no more bigadv crashes. I would recommend (if you haven't already)...use LinX or IBT instead of Prime. Prime does not seem as good at stability testing nowadays as it used to be....I've had Prime give me a false sense of stability on an oc with both of my i7's, only to have LinX eat that $#!t for breakfast and crash repeatedly. :D
