Hi guys,

I have the Big Typhoon HSF on my current 939 setup and am planning on going 1155 (ASUS -V or MSI 65, still on the fence). It'd be super-awesome if I could re-use this guy on the 2500K but I'm not sure I can.

I read about some guy making it fit on some ASRock board but not much more.

Anybody has any experience with this?

thx a lot

k, I finally got the ASUS -V mobo and can answer my own question - no, the Big Typhoon does not fit on that mobo, the holes on the H bracket do not align with the mobo holes :( Too bad, will have to get a new cooler when time comes for OC.

Anyway, maybe this info will help someone else in the same situation.

cheers

Some of the asrock 1155 mobos have holes for 775 coolers, but the big typhoon doesn't work because part of the mounting bracket hits cpu socket so you can't lock one corner.
