hi guys, im just installing a computer with a passive nvidia 8500GT and windows vista 32 ultimate. the thing is that i can install vista perfectly, but after i install the nvidia drivers, system restarts and is about to go to the desktop, the screen goes black....

whats the problem here?

mounted on an ASUS P5B

2gb kingston

Definitely sounds like a driver issue to me, how it cuts out right as you get to windows. It might have a problem loading the driver, or it might be defaulting to a resolution your monitor can't handle.

I would boot the computer in safe mode, uninstall the drivers, reboot, and try installing them again. HTH!
