Hi everybody, this is my problem that is quite botherin me.

My configutation:
MSI Neo LSR i875, Intel 3.2C, 1024MB DDR400 Samsung and MSI GeForceFX 5200

The problem is :

3DMark2001SE score is: 5420

How can that be?

My idea is that is something wrong with motherboard or RAM? Or I'm wrong?
 
what cpu do you have? I have the cpu in my comment and i couldn't tell how your results should come out, so i plugged in my old geforce 4 mx440 and ran 01..i got around 4.6k. Now fx5200 is better than mx440, but it's not a very good card..could just be your card holding you back, and also your cpu could be bottlenecking your performance as well.
 
My old Dell Dimension 8200 with 512mb RAM, 1.8ghz wilamette p4 and Geforce3 ti200 got 5500 points in that... something's REALLY wrong with your setup.
 
Well, bulabuc do you have all your motherboard drivers installed? Video drivers? Agp set to 4x/8x? Is your cpu booting at its rated speed? If you googled 'bios setup' there would also be a lot of information on how to tweak setting to gain performance and see if anything is awry.
 
Unfortunately, that is pretty close to my old score, with everything the same in my sig, except of course the inferior 6800OC being swapped for a PY 5200 ;)
5.2k sure seemed good, it was hard for me to break 5k until I tried different drivers :rolleyes:
 
That FX5200 is killing you. It is a horrible card. The Ti4200-4600 series whomps on it pretty harsh....It's only upside at all is it's DX9 compatible...
 
It isn't his card, my FX5200 system even when my card was at stock pulled over 7k with the rest of the specs in my sig.
 
sorry for delay, what drivers do you have?

my friend has AMD 1.7, 256RAM DDR266 noname, and scores 4900?

i don't know what to do
