Hello everyone,

I'm having a big problem trying to update the drivers for my Radeon HD5700.
I understand from google that the problem is pretty common, is the one that makes an "INF file missing" window appear while installing the driver.

I've tried every prompted solution:
tried uninstalling the drivers and using driver sweeper while in safe mode.
tried unpacking the exe with 7zip and then point devices manager to the extracted folder.
tried to install the driver alone and as the complete ccc suite.

None of this work, I'm still getting the "INF file missing" and being stuck at the old 8.7 driver I would like to update to the actual beta drivers, also because I'm getting a "display driver stopped working and has recovered" problem that makes some games freeze and crash (Sleeping Dogs).

My actual setup is running on win7 64 bit, the vga is a HD5700 and the mobo is a gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3.

I've learned somewhere that the actual problem could have been caused by the use of driver sweeper but I'm not sure on how to fix this.

Also, I cannot format my pc, so don't suggest to do so, thanks.

Please, could someone help me out? I'm pretty desperate.
