BIG display

Also known as the IBM T220/221.

Its a cool monitor with an insane DPI but it definitely shows its age in the specs.

It also requires a Quad single-link DVI connection to achieve its max refresh rate of 41Hz or 48Hz (depending on model). :)
 
Currently there no reports of the manufacturer producing a panel refresh. Panels relatively remains the same.. but later reversion have improved electronics as in ... inputs (2 dl-dvi) and a refresh rate up to 48Hz. You would also require Quadro/FireGL video card that could genlock/framelock. Latest reversion for IBM T221 I believe is DG5
 
That is a hell of a lot cheaper than the IBM.... I want one, new competitor to the Dell 3007 for me, I don't really care about pixel response as gaming on PC isn't my thing.
 
Watch ebay .... some VP2290b are going as low as $500 with a few dead pixels. Most are at least 2 years old. IBM T221-DG1 was going for $700 as well
 
So something like the requires dual-dual link DVI? What cards aside from quadro/firegl cards support that?
