Hey,

I'm about to start building my own computer case out of BLACK ACRYLIC. It is going to be pretty big and have internal watercooling. I was wondering if you guys knew of any good websites that have basic information on building your own case from scratch. I've thought alot about the design, but I'm sure there are a few details I have overlooked. I'm sort of looking for a basic checklist of needed parts, how to do front panel audio, ATX standards etc. etc....

The main reason I'm making this is because I am slowly transforming my PC into a HTPC. I want this to be absolutely silent (besides hard disks and optical disks) and to be of the horizontal form factor.

Besides some basics of case building/working with plexiglass, does anyone have good recomendations for SILENT AND (somewhat) SMALL watercooling kits that could cool 2 GFX cards, Chipset, and CPU? Also, any tips and tricks on cable management? or building a HDD rack or anything of the type? I know this post is all over the place but I'm just looking to get any problems out of the way BEFORE I start buying parts and building.

Replace 1 panel with smoked acrylic, and use white cathodes in the beast. It'll look totally AWESOME.

Go to mountainmods.com and pick up some of their templates. They have a midtower backplate (7 PCI slots) and lots of other goodies.

Where are you getting the black acrylic from?
