yes, i am a fan of crt's... i hate lcd's.. bad refresh, bad color...

but my cable has gone out on my trusty old sony trinitron... and i'm tired of having to jiggle it once a week to make my screen not pink...

my question, i would love a big crt, 19 or 21 inch... but my problem is my desk, i dunno if it can support something that big. Are there any light(er) weight crt's out there.. i know it's
an oxymoron, but still, humor me if you know of any

thx

no, not really, but you might look into samsung flat CRTs, dont think they are ready yet though...

Since you're going for weight, I'll be safe to assume 19"

I know for a fact that the ViewSonic P95F and the NEC FE991(2 more letters go here, hahaha) are just a little over 50 lbs. I have a glass desk, and I'm hoping it will be able to hold my 22" this Christmas, but good luck with that.

Any desk should be able to hold about 50 lbs. (about 23 kilograms for those lucky enough to not use the imperialistic system).
