Bh5?

If I remember correctly, Mushkin Black Level II is BH5. This isn't "Black" so I don't know what to make of it.

I would go check it out before you order it. Maybe ask mushkin or ask newegg?

I think I read somewhere that all "level 2" mushkin has bh5, but I could be wrong. I'm looking for a definative answer on that myself.

If u look at the package (and i have 2 sticks right in front of me) this is the SPECIAL 222 VERSION. Newegg changed the named to LEVEL II for some reason, but these are most probably BH-6 CHIPS which should be just as good!

Those are Mushkin 222 Special wrongly marked by newegg as Level II. They are all BH-6

To tell the truth all I'm interested in is ram that can handle 2-2-2-5 at 200mhz and do it at 100% stability. It would be nice to have the added insurance that it could go higher if need be.

These BH-6 chips are supposed to be just as good as the BH-5, ill let you know how high ill get em when my backing plate arrives on tuesday. I'm putting it into a A64 3000+ system on a Abit kv8-Max3....

I heard that these chips just need a little more voltage, and they should be rock solid.

I think you gave us a bad link there. That's ok because just yesterday I forgot to give a link altogether in one of mine.

I think I might just go with Kingston HyperX 3200. It's stock timings of 2-3-2-6 should be a signifigant boost over standard timings and it's $30 or so cheaper. Does anyone know what chips these use? I'm assuming that they are probably bh6's.

No those that you're talking about ARE CH-5.

There is BH-5 KHX3200. See here for the list.

why not get Kingston HyperX PC3200 with BH-5 chips?

http://www.dangeo.com/proddetail.php?sku=16144 (2x256MB)
http://www.dangeo.com/proddetail.php?sku=16145 (2x512MB)

notice the model, KHX3200K2. That pretty much guarantees you the BH-5 chips :) My friend ordered a pair of 2x256MB and the SPD settings were at 2-2-2-5 1T eventhough they are advertised as 2-2-2-6 1T. They run flawless at stock voltage and 2-2-2-5 timings at 200Mhz.

note: the CH-5 chips (PC3200) from kingston will have KHX3200AK2 as their model number.

that's a nice link to all the places that sell memory with BH-5 chips :)
I only mentioned that one site with Kingston HyperX ram (www.dangeo.com which is a canadian site).

Thanks for the link :)

I'm looking at the list right now. Thanks for the link.

How do the Ch5's fair? Is there a site you can link that has info about all of the various memory chips?

I've already checked. It didn't answer my question.

The models listed at mwave and newegg are khx3200ak/1g. Is there a difference between khx3200k and khx3200ak?

I think I was right in my assumption. The khx3200 is bh5 and the khx3200a is ch5. Thanks for the help guys. If my assumption was wrong please let me know. :)

I'm pretty sure that's correct. I haven't heard otherwise..

I'm sure thats right, the "A" means a revision and the revised modules use CH5
