BG Micro 20x2 VFD mounting help, please

Hey all,
I just got in the mail today the BG Micro 20x2 VFD and man... man is it huge. I didnt realize that it was going to be this big and heavy. Holy crap!!! ....

Anyway, I just performed the $5 window mod in preperation for the VFD and now I need a way to mount it so that it faces out of the window. Here is a pic of the side panel and the VFD. Please keep the comments about the ghetto $5 window mod to yourselvs, when you have a wife and two kids you'll understand.

Any ideas?

Hot glue will really hold this beast on there? hummmm... I'd hate to try and screw up my Lexan... I wonder if it would pull the window off the case.

BTW, heres the sidepanel installed. I know its not fantasticly awsome super goober uber modder but atleast I did it myself. (AND its my first mod ever)

It may be hard to tell from the pics but I glued some 1/4 inch square acrylic rails to the front piece and then screwed the vfd to the rails. Take a colse look at the lower RH pic in the first post.

You could go ahead and drill the four holes in your window to line up with the ones in the display, and use nice-looking cap-head screws to secure it.

Take a cue from delbert and get some kind of tinted (preferably blue) filter in front of that rascal.

I went ahead and hot glued it on there. Looks great. See my new thread "My First Mod!!!" Thanks for the glue advise!
