Hi guy
the problem im having is that my gt wont run at oc speeds...

test
Doom3 demo1

@ 350/100 got 81.3 fps
@370/100 got 81.4 fps
@400/100 got 81.5 fps

can anybody help me here..i have turned off fast write on the bios also did the 1.4v mod to see if this would help my rig is

Athlon 64 3000+ (not oc running at stock speeds)
MSI NEO Platinum
1.5Gigs of Ram
POWMAX Demon 580W Power Supply <---im thinking it might be this..
Audigy 2z

im thinking that a .1 frame improvement might be a little now for the oc speeds...

oh ya i ran the test 3 times and kept getting the same results..

You will be processor limited up till 1280x1024 I would say.

Try running timedemo demo1 usecache at 1600x1200 High quality no AA and see if you notice a difference between the clocks.

just tried 16x12 and the results were

@ 370/1000(stock speed) 64.8
@ 400/1100 (OC) 64.9

what i fogot to mention
i added the nv5 on my GT also i have 4 fans on my pc. Two of them are for intake the other 2 are exhaust. idle temp on the card is 54c

and ya vsync is off..

when i try 3dmarks05 i keep getting 4635 at any oc speed...even sometimes when i run it above the stock speeds i would get a lower score.....

HELP ME PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Weird, maybe you're just CPU locked in all resolutions. maybe load up a slightly older game and force very high AA and AF via drivers?? Does the card register in windows as the new clock rate? If so it probably is running at what it says and you're just being bottlenecked by CPU.

Yeah, if you're overclocking and not seeing a score difference, some other aspect of your system is limiting your score. Try running 3dMark01 or 03, with stock and OC speeds, and I bet you'll see a difference on them.

My guess would be that your graphics card isn't the limiting factor to your performance at all. But I would have expected some improvement anyway, especially at 1600x1200.

You didn't accidentally overclock the 2D clocks instead of the 3D clocks, did you?

i just finished running some test with 3dmarks03 and aquamark3 results

aquamark

@400/1100 48434
@370/1000 47557

3dmarks03

@400/1100 11676
@370/1000 10930

got some minor improvement but is this right for oc speeds?
3d was used to oc.
