Recently, I had a pretty neat experience with returning my shot GeForce 5700OC. They sent me back a 6800 GT OC instead!!! Has anyone else had the same thing happen to them? I think BFG is out of the older models and upgraded me! It's sweet!!

I've had good experiences RMAing to BFG both times that I had to. Well, at least, when I got a hold of someone there (1+ hour on hold both times:rolleyes: ). I cant say that I've been upgraded though, they wouldnt even let me pay for an upgrade.-Bryan

I had near instantaneous response when I had to RMA my card just a few weeks ago. Less than 1min waiting when I called to file for RMA and when I called back a week or so later to check on status.

I mailed it off on a Wednesday at Lunch, they received it on Friday, and I had the replacement by the next Friday. Acceptable turn around time I think.

Went from a long overheating 6800 GT OC with the reference black single fan heatsink that I had upgraded to an NV Silencer. Anyway, they sent me back another 6800 GT OC but with an upgraded copper heatsink with two fans.

Linear replacement, no upgrade, but it works and runs cool so I'm extremely happy.

You have to call them. The phone number is listed on their website.

after reading the linked thread, i was reminded of how there are some LOW people in this world. BFG is doing something nice, and everyone takes advantage of it. GREAT job guys. GREAT.

It is true that BFG is doing a wonderful thing, and someone with knowledge of this could take advantage, but seriously, if you have purchased a card from them, you have the lifetime warranty and you can send it in for an RMA anytime. If they send you back your same card either new or fixed that's great! And if they send you back an upgrade it's great too!

It's not like he busted his card on purpose. So long as he didn't void his lifetime warranty, he got what he paid for. If BFG stopped making 5700OCs, what choice do they have? Should they say "Well, even though we said lifetime warranty, this card is too old, so forget about an RMA."? Anyway, did BFG mess up the RMA in the other thread? If so, that's their fault.

This is what lifetime means for many companies. PNY for instance. Their lifetime warranty means for the product cycle which they can ambiguously end at any time IIRC.

This is from the BFG website:

>> LIFETIME WARRANTY.
Other vendors may claim to have a “lifetime warranty”, but closer inspection of their policy reveals that “lifetime” is defined as products currently on the shelf and in production.

BFG RULES!!!

Agreed...I will continue to pay the premium BFG gets with a big smile on my face...they are worth every cent!!! :D

My BFG RMA was pretty simple, I sent in the card, and a week later I got it back. The only problem was I called for an RMA like 4 months before I sent my card in (I was busy with school and lazy lol), so after like 4 months I decided to mail it in and called before to make sure I could still do it and they said they were just waiting on the card, only thing was that I called and waited on hold for an hour for no reason, but it was worth the wait :D
