BFG GTX260 MaxCORE overclocking?

Hi guys,

Have a choice between the Maxcore OC and the Maxcore OC2. The OC is £215 ($410ish) and the OC2 is £225 ($425ish).

Is it worth going for the OC2 or should I just get the OC and overclock it? Will they, in theory, OC the same or what? Any experiences?

Jeez that is EXPENSIVE. Figures though. Poor UK brethren.

Anyway, it is just a wee bit more $$. The difference b/w the two is maybe 1-2 fps if that. You might get a higher OC with the OC2 though that still is 1-2 fps.
 
Dang I love the UK but you guys are getting raped on video card prices.
 
Its the exchange rate. The dollar is weak right now, which is good news for US companies that export.
 
Can they apply VAT to imported items? IE, items where the "value added" was applied outside the country?

I could see it working that way, to protect domestic production, but yeah, it's pretty bad news if you're trying to buy this kind of stuff.

As per wiki...

Exports by definition, are consumed abroad and are usually not subject to VAT; VAT charged under such circumstances is usually refundable. This avoids downward pressure on exports and ultimately export derived revenue.

Perhaps someone from the UK can comment on wether VAT applies.
