BFG GTX 285 OCFU!

lol BFG trying to one up evga. Not a bad little overclock on it either. Well we see how pricing is for this one.

Confirmation that DX11 isn't going to be all that - FC5 will still be using DX10 ;)

Do you think by Far Cry 5 Crytek will figure out why the first Far Cry was successful and why the sequels made ritual suicide a better option after 2 hours of game play?

Was about to say do we really need another extremely overpriced GTX 285 that sports a sub 10% overclock but costs nearly 50% more but it looks like BFG is more reasonable with their pricing then EVGA.

GTX 285 OCFU - $389.99 at newegg.

I hope Dell restocks their BFG GTX 285 line with the updated cards so I can pick up one of these for around $300.

Well considering the history of BFG's name...the FU moniker is very appropriate.

LMAO, all it needs is the OMGWTFBFGSAUCE sticker on it and it's all set.

(sticker was on the 7900GTX)

what's funny to me is that all the overlclocks that these companies post for their top-end nvidia products are completely accessible for non-overlclocked models within 4-5%. and no one on earth would be able to tell the diff between a gtx 285 at 720/1650/2700 and one at 700/1580/2700 (rounded down). 2700mhz for memory seems like the base line OC, and everyone hits around 1550 for shader as a base line. 700mhz core also seems like the standard. I certainly wouldn't pay the extra unless I didn't want to bother with a little bit of tweaking. furthermore, unless the card is offering an improved cooling system, you're shit out of luck for noise and case cooling. what i mean is that you would still have to invest just as much to make sure the card ran cool, because even if its binned for 700+ speeds, that doesn't mean it'll run well in a hot case. hence the shitton of RMA's on FTW cards and SSC cards.

Until BFG supports HS remove aftermarket install + warranty covered overclocking, they got nothing on EVGA.

Or XFX. They support aftermarket heatsinks and overclocking as well. Plus you can't beat a double lifetime warranty with a stick. :D
