Im holding off for a few weeks while I save up for a new GPU and I was wondering if anyone knows if ay firmware updates are still floating around in the interwebs for the card in my sig? I was thinking that my card may have older firmware that needs updating for win7 compatability. Thoughts? Advice?

I dont think there is any such thing as firmware update for a video card and windows 7. All you need is windows 7 drivers.

I have never heard anyone requiring a firmware update for a video card to work with windows 7. Only time firmware update is required is if there is a known issue with the firmware on the card or manufacturer trying to update fan algorithm.

Never mind apparently with the threat of a firmware update the issue is no longer there.

Fun.

close thread please?

Just to add an extra note to this, be especially careful flashing BFG cards, because if you break them, there's no RMA. Even if your card's within the warranty period you won't be able to replace it.
