So this guy's sister is a producer, and he gets the name BFG on a morning TV show. And he wins, even though there's no logo, no URL, and it was a five second bit.

I submitted an entry that I worked pretty hard on, and I won't gripe about my losing too much, because there's nothing I can do anyway. You can download my entry if you want:

ftp://cwpc.no-ip.com/
user: bfg
pass: contest

If one of you guys entered too, post your entry so we can yell and scream about it

Downloading now....though.....either your ftp is getting hammered, or you upload sucks...

While I think the winner had a lame entry (interms of creativity), he did reach the most people and thats all that maters.

Yeah, it's a tracker too, sorry... if someone wants to mirror go right ahead.

Maybe some details about my entry would be helpful. The logo was draped off of a restaurant / yacht club across a small river from a very popular tourist trap and cultural center. It stayed there from Sunday morning to the next Saturday morning in the 3rd week of April. The restaurant is only used Saturday night and the yacht club is used monthly so that was alright with the owner of the building. On a sunny day the area covered by the tarp gets a few thousand pedestrians along the boardwalk, by conservative estimates. Since the whole week was sunny and it stayed there for six days, quite a few people must have seen it.

Yeah i thought the winner was pretty lame as well.

What ever happen to that 9700Pro banner contest that Hardocp.com was having? Something like who ever came up with the best idea to use the banner. Who won, what he/she do?

I guess it was all based on how many people actually got the message. But I agree, if I were watching that morning news show, I probably would not have paid attention. No logo, no graphics, no nothing. Pretty lame to me.
