Are these cards in stock anywhere but comp-u-plus who are price gouging beyond comprehension? Chumbo said they expect some in at the end of the week, but they're pretty much all back-order fills. There any place to get a nice 6800GT for $410 max shipped? The only reason I'm not getting an x800xt pe is to save $100, so getting one from compuplus really defeats the purpose.
 
Picked one up for a buddy's machine at CompUSA last thursday, PNY Verto 6800gt for 399.99
 
Well I just want the BFG because it's already oc'd some, and I would probably return the damn thing if it didn't hit Ultra speeds anyway :D Does that PNY oc at all? I don't think my compUSA has any in stock anyway.

I'm just going to be patient and get it from Chumbo's for $399 shipped... I'm sure they'll be getting weekly or so shipments of them and there's no need to waste $30 on shipping. *slaps self* You do NOT need the card right this second!
 
I'm not real fond of PNY cards. Not really anything wrong with em, but there are better cards out there. I think bestbuy might have some BFGs in stock. Their website says the ship date has passed already, but I just ordered one and it says the order is processing and should ship within 2 days.
 
i just ordered the bfg 6800gt also from BB

i tried cancling , but they said it was too far along the process to cancle

so i'm guessing it is in stock or they are just greedy and won't cancle
 
Picked up my BFG 6800GT OC at Fry's Electronics last Friday. I went in and noticed it on the shelf after calling around and being told they weren't in stock. So I went up front with an evil grin and dropped down the greenbacks like there was no tomorrow. :D

The Best Buy by where I live keeps a terrible stock of video cards. The only high end card they show is a X800Pro and it's a pre-order box :(
 
Just picked up my BFG 6800 GT yesterday :D . The Fry's that I went to (Sacramento, CA) had about two boxes full of them - looked like four or five units were in each box too.

I practically ran to the video card aisle but didn't see any cards :confused: . Then I got real sad, kinda looked around and saw a 8.5"x11" sign posted saying "BFG 6800 GT OC - ask sales clerk to see stock". So I asked a guy who was stocking ATi 9200's about the gt, then he took me over to get a key for their stock cage, but then there were a couple of boxes behind their counter (I think there were more locked in their stock cage too!) full of the GTs.

I got my BFG 6800 GT OC from Best Buy for 399.00. Still stays preorder I believe but that must be wrong. I ordered mine July 1 or so and recieved it July 10 or so. Free shipping but you have to pay tax. At least I did was 25.00 so it put the entire purchase at 425.00.
 
best buy has no interest financing when you use your bb cc i like that cuz i just pay monthly installments of like 40 bux a month it easier than shelling out 400 bux or so at 1 time
 
I just checked BB's website and they have some BFG 6800 GT OC's in stock. They weren't there when I checked this morning, so they must have just gotten them in today.
 
After reading this thread I headed to BB's website and saw the GT for sale. I got greedy and went to go through Ebates site and by the time I searched for the GT again it was sold out.

Oh well, I already have an Ultra. I figured I'd grab a GT and save a few bucks.

Damn you best buy.

I called them and they confirmed that they had some in stock but had no idea how many?

so i called chumbo and canceled my order with them because they couldnt give me any date whatsoever on when it would ship. So then i ordered it from best buy, at the time of order it was "In Stock"

but now its "Out of Stock" and my "Ship Date" says null?

i swear if it sold out and hadnt updated and i bought that card on false information im going to be one pissed off customer.. Ill just have to wait a few days to see whats up
