bfg 6800GT issue

i resentely purchased a 6800gt and it was running great at 120FPS in counter strike: source but today i went to play it and the fps dropped to 80, and now it has dropped again to 50. im thinking maybe it might be a mother board issue, but im not sure. thanks
 
Run RivaTuner and see if it's overheating. Including myself, there are three people I know of that have problems with that card overheating.
