What is the price range of a BFG 6800 Ultra 256mb AGP? I just burned up a 9800xt 256mb....Would the difference be noticealbe?

i believe the current generation of video cards provides approximately double the performance of last gens (5900 series and 9800 series) so, yes i presume the results would be noticeable :)

You'd over triple the IQ/performance, no doubt.

Read some reviews.

VERY noticeable.

Can someone list a spec comparison between the infotek 9800xt 256mb and BFG 6800 Ultra OC 256mb? I'm mainly looking for pipes/clocks......And does anyone know what brand of ram BFG uses for the 6800 Ultra oc 256mb? Also what are the average idle/load temps for these cards?

Double the pixel pipelines... The X800 / 6800 series are a huge improvement over the last gen cards. No need to worry about getting your money's worth.

9800xt, the specs are there

Pretty sure BFG only makes OC's so that should be an 6800UOC. Specs are there.

Basically, the 6800U is double the pipes of the 9800xt at about the same clock speed. (clock speed doesn't mean much though, cept for ram and even then it still depends on the gpu's ability to use the b/w well, which is why you should always depend on reviews that use the games you want to play before thinking anything)

The 6800u has 1100mhz GDDR3 ram and the 9800xt has 730 DDR1 ram.

The 9800xt gets raped.
