OK heres the deal. I have a BFG 6800 ultra OC. Clocked at 450/1150 i idle my core around 56 c. i have no idea what i game at but i doublt its anything over 80. The problem is the card does tend to lock up here and there in 3dmark dependant on what its clocked at. I have the bios that gives me separate clock frequencies for 2D and 3D. im guessing im gonna want to flash to i guess "nvidia rev2 bios ending in 10.15". apparently this should keep that from happening. also i want to up the voltage to 1.5 volts. i just want to make sure this statement is correct?

omni extreme edit FX tool

Just put 1.5v for 3d and 1.4 for thtl. Use the nvflash tool version 4.42.

is that 1.5v the voltage the core is going to be recieving? what is the other voltage for 2d?

never did this before.

does this void warranty on my BFG card?

im not 100% sure on the other things so I wont comment, but yes it will void the warranty on the card. So the card does not lock up on anything else just 3dMark05? If thats the case have you tried different drivers?

I do have the newest drivers, i tried the 61.77 ones that have been out forever....

i also did just about every beta bios under then sun. it does happen elseware but again only when overclocked. If i run at stock speed no problems at all. so i dont think its anything but maybe a voltage problem.

Why does updating a bios in a videocard differ from updating a bios in a motherboard/router/cddrive/etc? as far as warranty is concerned? If it fixes lockups, wtf is the problem? thats dirty marketing if you ask me. "Well sorry that you have a crappy bios that is proven to lock up your card in games and stuff, you could always update you bios it will fix it. But remember it voids your warranty. Its like being kicked in the balls after buying a 500 dollar videocard...
