yeah if anyone has this card, and they've taken the heat sink off, help me please!!

theres reviews on the net that say that the ram gets too hot and doesnt oc well because they use thermal pads, but i took them off and there is a 2 cm gap in between the ram and the sink. how did they do it then? the review was for the same card, the bfg 6800 oc (Non ultra/non GT)

help me if you can
