Anyone know any online retailer who has these in stock? Best Buy is full of shit with their pre-orders...
 
The BFG has resolutions limitations on the DVI output. I would recommend getting the eVGA card. from either newegg or eVGA's site. Both cards include a copy of FarCry for $399
 
Yeah, I'm thinking about that. BFG is a sponser of a LAN here in Oregon, so I would like to support them. But, they can't seem to get cards out.

stop spreading rumors. I like how this has traveled from Anand's site, where 1 person had a problem and all of a sudden it's a major issue.

BFG doesn't even make their 6800GT's, they are reference from Nvidia's manufacturer. Same with eVga. I run 1600x1200 on a Dell 20.1 LCD w/ zero issues and the 6800GT.

what a mess these forums become with mis-information.
 
would you all recommend that I cancel my Best Buy order? They told me they expect it to ship by the 13th but I'm a little worried about it.

No. Best Buy WILL ship your card. They have already started shipping GTs to other people.

Hey ruffz! you bastard .. lol. Ya I decided to return my x800 Pro after reading all these threads on the GT, and seeing the benchmarks... oh and SM 3.0 with HDR lighting effects :)

edit. What card are you getting now ? Did you cancel your XT PE order through CDW ? Going for a 6800 GT now ??
 
I would cancel the BB pre-order. They started shipping and then they stopped. They are still taking orders and saying that they will ship them on the 6th... Yeah, that was a few days ago. The guy said it could be as late as the 21st before they ship again.

getting the GT man.. cancelled with CDW cuz from what I heard it was gonna be a long time before I got the card (atleast early August). get on irc :p

I'm gonna give them til Wednesday to ship it out otherwise I'm gonna order from someplace else.
 
I hate ordering stuff on thursdays and fridays. You have to wait too long to get it :(
