what kind of overclocks are your guys getting with your 5900's that are watercooled. im a 539 core and 975 memory. im kind of scared to go any higer to the core. temp is only getting 42C load. and there are no artifacts. how high can the core go u think?

The highest core without artifacts. The artifacts would appear before you could actually melt your card.

arg, for some reason i still cant get my memory clock to stay. im using a bfg 5950 ultra bios. and its set at 950, if i crank it up to 975mhz it will go back to 950mhz. it did the same thing with my regular bfg 5900nu bios. that bios was set a 850nhz and if i set it too 900mhz it will go back to 850mhz. Whats the deal?

i had mine at 550 for like 1 minute. it artifacted like crazy. heh, why not flash your bios?

i am on the 5950 ultra bios, at 550mhz core fine right now:D . the beauty of water. still cant get my memory to stay.

You need a custom BIOS. I have one, but i'm not sure that it has the frequency you want. It's 490 core 980 memory. Higher core speeds tend to cause frequent texture "errors", which i would call crashes. Everything turns weird colors and starst flashing wildly at me, like a japanese war flag.

so i need a custon bios to change the memory speed? im at 575mhz on my core right now. ran 3dmark03 4 times in a row without any artifacts. What is different on the custom bios?

ha ha that be my BIOS :p

when i was at 550mhz on the core after about 20 min of playing generals the game froze. i knew the temp was fine and there where no visible artifacts. so i backed down the core to 525mhz and have been playing generals fine for over 3 hours. why will it freeze at 550mhz if theres no artifacts?

does anybody know why it would do this, because the temps where fine and there where no artifacts. and i also ran 3dmark03 3 times in a row without any problem at 550mhz core.
