Guys i havnt messed around with the settings in CCC, Can you enable SuperSampling or use 16XAA if in the ingame settings you turn AA Off? When i get home i was gonna mess around a bit to see if it works, just thought id throw it out there.

Ok im running with 8X Supersampling enabled in CCC and im getting more FPS ( 100 + ) then i am when i enable 4XMSAA in game. It looks crisper when i use the supersampling.

No, unfortunately it will not work. I have tried with both 11.10 v3 and 11.10 whql. AMD seems to have disabled overriding the application options in battlefield 3. A post from the battlefield 3 single player review here in the forum piqued my curiosity. I spent 2 hours + troubleshooting and I found that MSAA or any AA mode only works if you set it in game. Well let me correct myself. You can use morphological AA, but trust me the performance impact you get form that isn't worth it. You get hit almost 30% and it looks worse than FXAA low IMO which only hits you about 3%.

Yep, just set CCC to override the application settings. I have played BF3 with 16xEQ AA & the game looked really crip and badass. I can tell it was working because I would start at 2xEQ AA then go to 4xEQ ,8x EQ and then 16xEQ. Each time my FPS would drop a little bit and stuff looked "smoother/crisper". If i didn't look for it though I don't think I could spot the difference between 4x MSAA in-game and 16xEQAA from CCC while im running for cover or in a big firefight lol.

Edit to add that Marcdaddy it's impossible that you are noticing a difference with supersample over multi sampling because AMD Radeon 5000/6000 series cards can't do supersample in DX10/11 games. It only works in DX9 and below.

I saw no such improvement in image quality and the performance differences measured using msi afterburner in my log files can be attributed to the margin of error. I think you guys are experiencing a bolis effect, thinking your seeing a difference when there really is none. Unless you guys are using another driver other than 11.10v3 or 11.10whql both of which I tried. Heck I even tried Radeon Pro and still no dice.

Play single player, operation sword breaker and when you get to the roof and take out the sniper go near the fences and look at the quality. The only time you'll notice the aliasing is gone is when you enable msaa in game.
