BF3 fullscreen issue

Anyone else having issues with BF3 not launching in full screen? I tried setting the game to full screen in the menu and applying settings, but I still can't get the game to open in full screen mode (I have a border around my windows). ALT + Enter also just takes my non-full screen mode and makes it "larger" without it actually going full screen.

My setup

ATI 5850 (11.10 beta drivers... same drivers as BF3 beta)
8GB Gskill memory
AMD Phenom x4 955
Asus Sabertooth motherboard
Corsair 850w PSU
Corsair GT SSD / raid 0
Asus 27" LCD monitor - 1920 x 1080

Any suggestions other than an official bios update would be awesome.

p.s. if I posted this in the wrong forum I apologize. This isn't really a hardware or software help issue from what I can see... just a BF3 issue (other games are just fine)

Thanks Sniper, i'll double check and make sure I'm on the v3 of the drivers. I think i'm on v2 if I recall... (at work at the moment).

Other people mentioned that some software can conflict with the game going full screen (Team Viewer). So i'll kill all my running apps also to see if anything is messing it up (doubtful, but still possible)

I bumped up to the v3 drivers and I'll test them out tonight.

Is there any tweaking under the AMD vision control panel that i need to set / modify other than the defaults?

Thanks. :D

No - the less you change in the control panels the better. Choose your settings in game. It could definitely be your team viewer app -- any overlay could cause issues and likely will in multiplayer (PB kicks for Fraps, etc.)

Well the V3 drivers play nicer. And Team Viewer was also causing overlay issues (DX11 and overlay = not happy).

I'll just have to kill TV when I'm gaming I suppose.

Glad to see my ATI 5850 still runs this game well on high with most the eye candy.

Thanks guys! =)
