Can anyone out there running a 6990 tri-sli setup let me know how it is working out for you? I'm curious to know how it performs in eyefinity, specifically with BF3. I want to get a sense of the level of detail and avg fps. Also, any microstuttter?

Thanks in advance!

It may be my personal experience, but I can max out the game on ultra with the exception of AA with pretty high frame rates. However, when it dips below 60 frames, I start to feel lag with my mouse meaning that if I look right, a few milliseconds after I move my mouse, the picture moves. This usually happens with 12x ballistic scope looking across a large map with lots of things going on.

I don't know if that's related to having more than 1 videocard or if it's the response time of my monitor, but my friend can dip below 40 and still not have mouse lag.

edit: Ahh whoops, I just read Eyefinity in the title. I'm running single 30" lol

Thanks for the comment. That might be the microstutter that I'm taking about.

When I had my tri-fire setup I could max out the game with the exception of AA at a res of 3150x1680.

On a quad-fire setup now and the latest drivers are good, on a 5x1P eyefinity config with 5150x1680 res the game runs smooth at a mix of medium/high with SSAO. I think that tri/quad fire setups now have the drivers to run eyefinity setups well for bf3.

Had 2 6990s to work, could not get quadfire to work at all. Ever.

Borrowed my brother's 6970, could occasionally get trifire to blip in and out...

With the brand new drivers. Total joke imo.

You must of been doing something wrong with so many ppl not having issues at all!

It helps if you install the crossfire bridge;)

Trifire works great and in eyefinity is fine for me... Though drivers and DICE are still issues as problems with icons and labels are still prevalent after multiple patches to "FIX" them.

I get no Microstutter... at least I dont notice it..

also 2600K @ 5.0 GHZ and 8 gigs of DDR3-1866

how did you guys get trifire working?
i have a 6990 and 6950. at first i couldnt get windows 7 to see the 3 gpu's and then when it did see all 3 it only showed 2 gpu crossfire. so the single card need to be in the primary pci-e slot?

The old crossfire bridge probably will not work.....

Run MSI afterburner with the overlay enabled to see if all three gpus are working while in game....

I run a 6990+6970 trifire setup with eyefinity on 3 24" 1920x1080 monitors. Resolution with bezel compensation is 6046x1080. I can maintain 60fps on high settings but it doesn't feel as smooth for aiming etc as medium so I run medium usually. I find gametime.maxvariablefps 60 helps smooth things out quite a bit. Or I use the latest msi ab which has a frame limiter in it. (which I set to 60). I run my gpu's at 930/1450 as well. System is an i72600k @ 4.9 with 16gb ram.

I enjoyed bf3 on my 120hz monitor running ultra for a while, but after getting used to eyefinity, I would never be able to go back to a single screen. It is very cool.

The only label thing that I seem to notice is the soflam orange diamond in a box, which seems to only appear on the left or right screen but not the center, not a big deal though.
