BF2142 display problem with sharp 23m1u

Hello everyone I got a sharp 23m1u which has a max resolution of 1360x768 and Im having trouble getting bf2142 to work correctly. I cant get the resolution to go large than 1024x768. And even when I play the screen shifts to the right and I have to adjust the screen to the left to center it. When I go back to windows everything is shifted to the left and I have to adjust it again back to center. So my question is how to i get bf2142 res higher than 1024x768 or get it to be centered while playing.

If 2142 is like bf2, widescreen resolutions are not and will not be supported by DICE. they seem to think that it gives those of us with widescreen monitors an unfair advantage and is therefore a cheat.

Widescreen Support: Command line edt; FOV Correct!

Edit the Battlefield 2142 shortcut, and set the resolution to desired specs. Also, be sure to change "+fullscreen" to "+widescreen" For example, the command line would look like this for a Dell 2005FPW:

"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2142\BF2142.exe" +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

The resolution will work, and the FOV will be correct. However some 2D graphics may be off.

Wow that tricked worked great, thanks a lot. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to use this monitor for gaming. Will this widescreen problem affect playing any other games? Also any idea why the screen shifted left when I played in 1024 res?
