Aiming for the head = no!

Aim for the torso and let the recoil walk the rounds into their head. Make recoil work for you, not against you. Guaranteed hits, even if they do less damage, are more important than a slim chance of a kill outright.

Another tip, fire in bursts. Save full auto for the mounted weapons. 3-4 round bursts for most handheld weapons, 8-10 round bursts for the SAW. Hell, most of the time I use single shot with the g3/g36/l85. Unless you are in very close quarters, full auto is a waste of ammo. You only hit with the first 2/3 shots anyway.

As for the SRAW/Eryx, learn how to make deflection shots, so you dont have to stand in the middle of the road.

M203/gp25 should just have a 20m safe range. Hit something inside that (like in real life) and the round does not detonate.

It really seems that most of the problems can be solved with a little bit of practice.

I hate the grenade launchers (n00b t00bs). I really hate the fact that when you die to one it makes like no noise, no explosion so a lot of times you dont know what the heck just happened. It should also be fatal to the user at close ranges, which it really isnt.

So true. Takes no skill to use and is a guaranteed kill for the user. The game would be much better off without it.

Armor - when im in a tank or apc, no one on your team ever covers you...

I guess that's just the people you play with. I've noticed lately that the official EA servers are really full of c*nts. Seriously. People are generally so wound up and angry and are just not fun to be around. I always play on a uk multiplay server (cos i live in the uk) and the people on those servers are generally great people. Fun to play with.

Sniping - the rifles are hillariously inaccurate...considering...the accuracy of common weapons (g36/l85 especially)

On one hand I laugh, but on the other I feel sorry for the poor guy when I get hit with a sniper round and then just spin round, locate the sniper, go prone, and proceed to kill them with the L85A. Or piss them off first by bunny hopping about with the medic pack out healing yourself till they run out of ammo, then finish them off. THey should either make the sniper rifle really accurate, or remove the class altogether.

Vehicle loudness - they arent loud enough. I can usually hear them but if people are spotting I sometimes get surprised by a helicopter (!) or even a tank. I frequently catch people unawares driving around in the tank.

You frequently catch out noobs you mean. I can hear anything coming at me and am NEVER surprised by any vehicle. Sure, a tank will still fucking just kill me anyway if I'm caught in the open, but that's just how it is. I guess I should learn to walk/run more tactically across the map.

My weakness? I cant aim and I often have trouble determining wether I am firing at a friend or foe.
After playing many stealth orented games, I have a tendency to go steathy over rambo style now. I sometimes manage to sneak behind enemies to get the first shots but yet they always win the fire fight. I blame EA for making me put BFV and BF1942 away because bullets just dont seem to land on the target anymore after patches

Not being able to tell an enemy from a friend is a big problem I have also. I hold my fire until I know its an enemy then fire... by then its usually too late.

Overall I cant aim in games. I was observed by friends who can play games and they all agreed that I dont aim. I just spray in the vincinity of the enemy.

Oh and I get annoyed by n00bs that act like noobs. Like the ones that jump infront of your car so you get a team kill... or the ones that shoot at you then kick you once you fire back for tking.

If you don't see blue or green above their head then shoot them.. Also watch your map closely. You should have a pretty good idea if a friendly is right in front of you or not.

I like being on foot. Vehicals aren't my thing. Your rant was my main reason why I left BF2 since 1.03. Don't get me wrong, I would normally be in the top 3 on the board and sometimes I will go on a 7-9 man killing spree.. But 90% of the time, I would get the crap in the rant.

Battlefield 2 is fun, and I used to play alot, but eh not my thing anymore. People camp too much and I do not see the "foot soldier" thing is being that good in that game, i prefer COD series,especially cod2. My bf2 hours went down to 0, I just simply do not enjoy it as much. mainly I think it is because of all vehcile camping people do.
Also A headshot does notkill in that game. Me and a firend tried it and when you aum at somone face they never die.

+1 on that. I've been doing so recently, and although it may take a bit more time to travel, it still saves you from the spawn time.

I was referring to UK EA official servers, not American ones. I never play outside my own country because of the high pings I'd cause.

My weakness is the game itself. OK so it's a different kind of weaknes.... I'm referring to having played the game roughly 8 hours yesterday. AS far as a skill set goes I feel I just need practice to catch up with all those '42 vets and so on, and there have just been so many distractions like FEAR, SS2, Quake 4, and CoD2. All while I been hard pressed for time. A few more sessions like the last one and I'll make some more headway even though it's been out for a few months already.

Sniper rifles, I still think the damage should be bumped up on them. Leave the accuracy where it is, but bump up the damge another 25%.

Having to shoot someone multiple times with a .50 cal is bullshit. If i shot you in the leg with one even (IRL), you're fubared. You're not still running while I have to reload.
