BF2 & Westy 37 Problem?

Hey, I just got my Westy today (so huge!) and I couldn't seem to load BF2...it always crashed to the desktop. I went ahead and deleted my profile in MyDocs, loaded it up again, and then it loaded but had a 1024x768 resolution and bars on the right and left. Once I got in game, I tried getting a different res, but it only went up to 1280x1024. I don't know what the problem is? Is it that I have a hi-def 1080p monitor now?

I have a Dell 2405 that runs BF2 just fine at 1600x1200 and it stretches it to full screen; why can't I do the same on my Westy? I'm having some major problems here...just want to try out my new monitor!! Any help would be much appreciated thanks!

BF2 doesn't support widescreen natively. Go to the desktop shortcut for BF2 and in the target box type +szx 1920 +szy 1080 at the end. That should launch the game in 1080p but just keep in mind it will be a bit stretched since EA/DICE suck ass and refuse to support widescreen displays.
