BF2 Ram or cache?

im gettin a new pc and which would be better for BF2 a 512mbRam with 1mb L2 cache or 1GB ram with a lower L2 cache? I also plan on getting a x800 ATI for $350.
 
Go for the Gig of RAM. Some folks have reported better results running 2GB in their rigs. Saying that, I can't fathom having anything less than 1GB these days.
 
cache: you're talking about the CPU? What are the CPU's you're thinking about?

But yes, as the poster above said, anything less than 1gb of RAM, even on the highest end systems, will give you stutters in BF2. Or so i've heard.

If by Cache, you mean Latency, go for the gig.

Hell, whatever you mean, 1GB>512MB in todays games. Like already mentioned, BF2 will take all you throw at it.
 
Processor cache does barelly anything to nothing games since there is nothing to cache since everything is mostly streaming live.

1GB minimum these days in gaming. 1.5GB is a pretty good amount for pure smoothness.
