I want to go to a freinds house and play BF2 with him, how can I set up a coop game, where it would be me and him against bots?
 
What the host has to do:
1- Start a SINGLEPLAYER game. Yes. singleplayer. Yes, that's all you have to do.
What the other players have to do:

1- Start the game. Click on MULTIPLAYER and then on JOIN INTERNET. Even if you're playing on a local network.

2- Click on Connect to IP below the server list and enter the host's IP address.

3- Click OK. Voila, you're playing COOP.
