BF2 Memory Error

I get this error everytime I load Zatar Wetlands(different map everytime I reinstall, but same error).

BF2 Memory Error
memory.dll: sanity check: block size 2130706240 (2032.00 MB) doesn't seem sane

This is version 1.0. I didn't install the patch, because I am waiting for the 1.03 patch. I did install 1.02 a while ago and my computer wouldn't even load bf2, so I'm not bothering with that anymore. I must have installed and uninstalled it 100 times to get rid of this error. Updated all my drivers and still no help. I think it might be my ram. I have two 512mb sticks of corsair and 1 256 mb stick of kingston. 1.25gb ram total, both ddr 3500 running at 400mhz. I have a MSI K7N2 mobo with v4.0 bios. I had this error even before I added the extra 256mb of kingston. So I don't think the mixed ram is the problem. I have no clue how to fix this. Help?

Btw, I do not have Xp Sp1 or Sp2.

So you're saying you have XP with no service packs or you're saying you're running windows 98? You're not real keen on patching things are you? They release those things for a reason. I'd start by updating my software to the current versions, starting with windows and make sure all drivers are on the newest version. And run memtest86.
 
I take it you run antivirus and a firewall/router too? Please god tell me you do! :eek:
 
That won't even save him from some of the MS vunerabilities.

I caught that error the other day after playing for 5 hours lol

I say its the games fault. My computer is rock solid stable.
