i'm running:
dfi ut sli-dr
x2 4600+
2x7900gt co SLI

so when i start BF2 it turns black after 10 or so seconds. like i would double click the bf2 icon and during the movie sequence it turns black. but not a normal black. i see lines running across the screen. i can still hear music in the background and stuff. i've downloaded the most recent drivers for both my card and BF2. what's wrong?

overheating? Are ur card plugged into power? Latest drivers? Cards seated properly?

Try reinstalling bf2?

can someone explain this

RMA time? Seriously, try the cards seperate and see what happens. Also why isn't your monitor auto adjusting for full screen? My 2005 always stretched it out.

Do you have the SLI jumpers set correctly on the motherboard? I think, if I rememeber correctly, that the DFI motherboard you have has jumpers.

I just put in another 7900GT for SLI and had the same problem. after a little googling, i found that if you bump up the memory 5Mhz, it will make it go away.

sure enough.. worked for me.

All power connections are hooked up to that SLI-DR? There are 4 different connections just to the board, not including the 2 - 6pin connections to the video cards, if you didn't already do so. Also, did you clear the CMOS and do an "Optimized Defaults" in the BIOS after you installed the second card?
