An attempt was made to execute non-executable memory.

I have done everything imaginable to solve this.... somewhere i read a thread that told me to uncheck autoreboot with allowed me to capture the Blue Screen information. Note I can play every other game at 1600x1200 everything maxed out but BF2 crashes constantly. This is beginning to annoy the snot out of me.

memory voltage is at 3.0 ocz recomends 2.6 to 3.3 ... ran prime 95 for 2 days at maximum memory allowable with no errors.

It looks to me like from that error its trying to write over a cricial reserves spot?

not only what your rig specs are...but how old is your Windows install?? spyware? what else is running in the background? new drivers? old drivers?

the more info you plaster up here...the better answers you'll get. Hell...if you can take a picture of that BSOD with a digicam (with the contents of the bluescreen being legible from the picture) and post it...that may be even better.

I've never had a single problem with BF2 on my AMD setup. Even running it at 2.2Ghz and undervolted to 1.20v.

somthin' funky's goin' on there with yer windoze...

I am getting a similar BSOD error...

A problem has been detected... bla bla bla.

An attempt was made to execute non-executable memory

If this is the first time... bla bla bla

Beginning dump of physical memory
Heh... it appears I need to contact my system admin.

The BSOD started happening only in BF2, but now I cant even boot. (I can boot up in safe mode)

Here is the setup...

DFI LAN Party nF4 sli-DR
480 Watt Antec PurePower
1 gig of ballistix memory (2x512) PC3200 CL2 2, 3, 8, 2 (T1 timing) mem voltage is 2.90
A64 3200+ (939 pin)
MSI 6600GT PCIx vid
WINXP Pro SP2

Any help is appreciated. This post may belong in the motherboard section... I dunno.

Try turning on file and printer sharing.

Kidding, inside joke with him. If you can get to safe mode, I'd yank all nvidia drivers and reboot. Then reinstall and see how it goes. As well, Prime95 or MemTest to see if your hardware is functioning right (ps isnt going bad, ram isnt going bad, etc).

hehe..I like the file/printer sharing comment...I don't know the inside joke..but it's still funny to me right now :p

I'm sure you've tried cussing at it a fair bit and that hasn't helped any? I know a lot of non-technical people that truly believe that makes a difference ...
