He had purchase a few iphones from me in early September. He now sends me emails stating they are not in the condition as described.

I asked him to send photos and provide IMEI/Serial numbers (to ensure he isn't doing a phone switch on me). As I have plenty of photos showing the phones are in like new condition without defect.

So far I have not received confirmation that they are in fact the same phones. But am getting threats of a credit card chargeback through paypal.

Which we all know, paypal immediately hits your account if the CC company goes through with the chargeback.

I sent you about 30 photos, while you didn't send me even one photo.
Your thread didn't have any photos too.

Both devices should be flawless and 64gb.
One of them with small crack and bunch of scratches. The other one and has lots of scratches, both shallow and deep.

***Just sent you more photos showing imei.
At least you didn't lie about warranty information.

Shame on you.

Theyre both 64gb

you've had these phones for A MONTH, a lot of time has gone by where you could've easily dropped and scratched them on your own.

For those reading, rectangle has had these phones for a month. He is just now bringing this up. Think about this, 1 month with a phone in his possession.

Now I am being threatened with a credit card chargeback instead of him going through paypal to dispute. This is a well documented scam.

Don't sell to rectangle..got it. :D
Dude..you don't keep something for a month and try to return it.

Can't you just use one of the iPhone's to take better pics? Very hard to tell the condition of those.

Also try just setting the phone outside to get a lot of light for a photo. That will work much better than bending over a desk lamp or whatever you did.

Why did it take a month to report any issues with the phones? A month is a long time, a buyer could easily damage the phones in a month and then have buyers remorse.

In this day in age, opening any electronics and swapping the insides of it, it's extremely easy. I've done it before, when my case broke (Samsung 10.1 pad), so I bought the casing from China and got all the tools needed for it and swapped it. Like new again.

You've had the phones for 1 month. Sounds like you've dropped them and scratched them from your own usage.

I corrected the links.
I will try to take more photos outside.Thank you for your advice.

The phones were insured through the shipping carrier, if they were damaged during shipping (although it looks like you've dropped them) we could've easily filed a claim when they arrived A MONTH AGO.

why dont you look at the back of the box, it will have the imei listed on it and the device storage. Both numbers will match. You got two 64gb phones.

As well as go into the General option in the phone, go to about. The screen will list the device IMEI and the phones capacity. a 64gb iphone will usually have about 55gb in capacity for storage,

I personally think if it's really been a month then the buyer has no claim.

Unfortunately what I personally think and what Paypal's "the buyer is always right and has 180 days to feel buyer's remorse" policies say are two very different things.

You are absolutely correct.
I didn't want to power on the devices and activate them, so I checked on a website and it said 16gb.
I did as you told me and it is indeed 64GB.
I am so sorry about that part.

You waited a month...and you never turned them on?

Something is fishy.

Not sure what point you proved. The gray phone had a screen protector on it. Same photos you saw when you bought the phones.

I'm guessing he's talking about the cracked screen. Sellers photos are bad and could be misleading but from what I can see that crack is present in the original photos. If these were marketted as pristine or like new then I can see why the buyer has a valid complaint although I am not sure how long it took for him to raise these issues with the seller.

***ladies and gentlemen,
Seer37 just removed the photos he posted a few minutes ago.
Although the photos were horrible but you could clearly see the damage on the black phone, and why the screen was cracked before i got it.

I have those photos on my email, will post in few minutes.

Again, why did it take you a month to bring this up, after you received the phones?

Somehow I do not believe the seller in this case.

I agree with you. Granted it seems the buyer did take his/her time in reporting it, his/her case is becoming stronger and stronger. Doesn't look good the seller removed the photos... Also , date on shipping receipt is the 29th (3 day shipping). So the buyer got the phones this month, not in Sept. So he/she has only had them for about 2 1/2 weeks. (granted that is still more than enough time to look them over)

I didn't remove anything. And that's a screen cover. Not a cracked screen.

Actually, the 29th is the estimated delivery date. Looks like the phones were shipped on the 26th. Even still, I agree:
  1. The phones haven't been in the buyer's possession for a month; more like 3.5 weeks at most.
  2. Even 2 weeks is still too long to go w/out reporting damage or issues. Returns should be initiated immediately.

I think we're still waiting to hear why the buyer took so long to report the crack screen issue. What is the first thing you do when you receive an item? Physically inspect the item for damage. Shipping damage, etc. I personally report that immediately.

My phones were in great condition when they left my possession. Buyer has had them for a good while.

You don't have decent photos as evidence of the phone condition before they were shipped. You had two iPhone 6 devices with great cameras and all you could manage were potato quality pics for $1000 worth of hardware? Seems suspicious like you purposefully had bad photos that didn't show the damage.

photo was taken with an iphone 6. half the iphone posts on here lack photos hell half the for sale ads do
