Better XP-M for overclocking?

I'm split between the 2600+ at 1.45v, or 2200+ at 1.35v. From what I understand, a lower voltage leads to a higher overclock.

2600+: 1.45v - 2GHz
2200+: 1.35v - 1.667Ghz

I'm leaning towards the 2600+. What do you guys recommend?
 
2600 all the way, the 2200 will never touch 200mhz fsb. even though it has a higher multy and a lower Vcore, the 2600 will still whomp ass ;)
 
35w XP2400 is a good one too. about on par with the 45w XP2600.
 
I got my 2200M to 2.2GHz prime95 stable w/ a vcore of 1.625 using a multi of 160X14 only because my mem is ultracrap for now anyway.
 
my 2400 only went to 2.3 ... the 2600 i just put in a half hour ago is doing 2.6
 
my 2200+ 35 watt has been at 2.4ghz @ 1.75v and folding for a week straight without a hiccup.. i got it up to 2.55 ghz... and haven't really tried for more... but i think it has more in it.. i just didn't feel like going over.1.85 v
 
my 35W 2400+ mobile is at about 2.5ghz right now. i'm not folding with it ATM because prime95 craps out after 1-2 minutes:eek: i know it's my memory though... memtest finds an error with it... stupid overheating because my watercooling is down for repair + i had to put a piece of cardboard over the side of my computer because the tornado on my alpha is so freaking loud... grr.

and my chip definitely has more in it. it's the motherboard that doesn't :rolleyes: a7n8x dlx rev1.04 (i think) limits voltage to 1.775... i want 2.0 vcore dagnabit! now where'd i put that soldering iron & vmod guide........ :p

i'd go with the 35W 2400+ mobile, personally. the multiplier on a mobile means nothing because they're all unlocked and revert to the lower set of multipliers on most motherboards (there's a fix for this: pinmod one pair of pins, or get an nf7-s/an7/dfi infinity(lanparty))

good luck w/e you do... the better mobiles (35W 2400 and 2600) seem to do about the same... it'll probably top out at around 2.6-2.7ghz. unless you get a good one and/or some nice voltages:D
