Better video card for Source Engine, AMD or Nvidia?

Just wondering...

Haven't seen any recent test for source engine performance on the newer cards, last time I checked Nvidia still got the edge...
 
It's an old engine that doesn't take much to run, probably why you aren't seeing much in the way of reviews. You may find a Portal 2 comparison here and there but that's about it.
 
Seeing as I get 150-300 fps in CS:GO with a 5850 at 1080p, I really can't see why it matters much ;p
 
Most modern cards should be able to run everything maxed out at 100+ FPS. With my 6870 and 1080p I was at a constant 300 fps which I think is the max.
 
I see... I was using the on-board graphic after I sold my 6950 few weeks ago... and just got 7950... I play mainly TF2 and want it to be as smooth as possible :)
