Better Software Firewall suggestions

I've used ZoneAlarm for years (remember when it wasn't bloatware?)
I've just built a new rig and want to use something else that's not so "fluffy"

I've looked a bit at Comodo Personal Firewall, but was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions. It must be compatible with Cisco's VPN software.

I'd like something that knows how to block egress traffic (programs that disguise themselves as approved apps or use an approved subsystem to get out.) In other words blocking outgoing traffic is just as important as block incoming traffic.

(I already use a NAT router with a SPI firewall for incoming traffic)

Can your spi/nat box do egress filtering?

That is how I do it on my lan (openbsd pf 4.0/nat/failover/blah blah)

My NAT box is a simple linksys router, no outgoing filtering there.
I want granular control on the Windows box...

Comodo....

Free, frequent updates (how many others can say that), easy to configure, for a software firewall..it's light on load.
