The A64 enters dangerous territory around 100c, operational spec is around 90c. Your temps are too high, these are cool running chips. You do not need a new cooler, you need to fix whatever is installed wrong.

Take off your heatsink, clean both surfaces with rubbing alcohol to remove any thermal grease or pads, and apply a THIN Coat of arctic silver to the CPU, then reapply the sink. Also, what is your case ambient temperature like? You want at least 1 80mm fan blowing in in and out in addition to the power supply fan. Ideally 120mms.

Note, the A64 shoud not fry it gets too hot; it would certainly appear they have an internal thermal fail-safe feature. Mine shuts off when it hits around 100c.

No, the Athlon XP (K7) was specced for 90-95C depending on the core, the Athlon 64 (K8) is specced for high 60's to mid 70's depending on your core. 100C is WELL over spec for an A64.

I love mine. It came with an 80mm low-noise Delta fan, and it does a great job.
 
You need a fan for those thermalrights as well dont you? And if so what would you guys suggest?
